【 本 報 綜 合 報 道 】 國 際 組 織 世 界 經 濟 論 壇發 表 新 一 年 旅 遊 業 競 爭 力 報 告 ， 香 港 在 一 百 三 十 三 個 國 家 地 區 中 排 名 第 十 二 ， 較 去 年 上 升 兩位 ； 不 過 新 加 坡 升 勢 更 勁 ， 由 去 年 第 十 六 名 勁 升 六 位 至 排 第 十 ， 排 名 反 超 前 香 港 。

報 告 的 排 名 是 根 據 全 球 百 多 個 國 家 或 地 區的 公 開 旅 遊 數 據 以 及 問 卷 調 查 研 究 得 來 ， 首 三 名 排 名 不 變 ， 依 次 序 是 瑞 士 、 奧 地 利 及 德 國 ； 新 加 坡 首 次 打 入 十 大 ， 至 於 香 港 的 排 名 雖 然 上 升兩 級 ， 表 現 仍 然 不 及 新 加 坡 。 至 於 中 國 的 排 名 由 六 十 二 升 至 四 十 七 。 在 亞 太 區 內 ， 香 港 則 排名 第 三 ， 亦 僅 次 於 排 第 一 的 澳 洲 及 第 二 的 新 加 坡 。

報 告 指 ， 香 港 的 交 通 系 統 比 新 加 坡 更 發 達 ， 保 安 及 醫 療 生 水 平 令 人 滿 意 ， 去 年 亦 舉 辦 多 項 國 際 展 覽 活 動 ， 吸 引 遊 客 及 商 務 旅 客 ； 不 過 ， 報 告 稱 讚 新 加 坡 去 年 在 旅 遊 配 套 設 施 方 面 有 明 顯 進 步 ， 國 家 的 政 策 便 利 外 資 企 業 發 展 、 入 境 簽 證 限 制 亦 不 多 。

Switzerland, Austria and Germany have the most attractive environments for developing the travel and tourism industry, according to the third annual Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Report, released today (4 Mar 2009) by the World Economic Forum. France, Canada, Spain, Sweden, the United States, Australia and Singapore complete the top ten.

Austria is ranked second in Europe and out of all countries in the TTCI, a ranking attributable to its rich cultural resources, with eight World Heritage cultural sites and many fairs and exhibitions catering to business travellers. The natural environment is also well assessed, along with the country’s focus on environmental sustainability (ranked 9th). In addition, Austrians are perceived as open and welcoming to foreign travellers. Austria’s tourism infrastructure is assessed as second to none, with abundant car rental facilities, hotel accommodations, and ATMs. Other strengths include Austria’s assessment as one of the safest countries in the world (ranked 6th) and its excellent health and hygiene levels (ranked 5th).

Hong Kong is ranked third in the region and 12th overall, up two places since last year. Hong Kong’s transport infrastructure is even better assessed than Singapore’s, with ground transport and air transport infrastructures ranked second and 13th, respectively. Hong Kong gets relatively good marks for cultural resources, with many international fairs and exhibitions held in the country and strong creative industries. Hong Kong’s policy environment is rated second only to Singapore, and shows a strong prioritization of the tourism sector (ranked 8th). Like Singapore, Hong Kong is extremely safe from crime and violence (ranked 5th), and the country is unsurpassed for the quality of health and hygiene, where it ranks first internationally.
